This is so healthy as it is mainly fruit. Just when you needed a pear 🍐 and almond chocolate pie fix.
Chocolate Pear Almond Pie
3 pears peeled and cut lengthwise
3 tbsp almond flour
2 tbsp chocolate powder
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 sheet pastry
1 tsp cinnamon powder
milk for brushing
1 tsp pistachio powdered for dusting
1 sheet of puff pastry
Line a round pie tin with parchment paper and brush the tin with ghee at the base.
Put the pastry on the pie dish.
In a bowl mix the almond flour with chocolate powder and maple syrup.
Add that to the pastry and cover the center part of the pastry.
Add the pear in a circular pattern and keep on adding the filling.
Fold the side over to cover part of the filling. Dust with cinnamon and pistachio and brush with milk.
Bake in the oven for 20 mins at 170 degrees and golden brown in color.
