Creamy yet light this breakfast is great for those pacifying kapha dosha.  Millet is a sattvic grain and can be enjoyed by all yet vata and pitta should eat it moderately as it is heating and drying


Millet Porridge


1/4 cup Millet per person soaked overnight in water

1 cup Almond milk or dairy milk 

1/2 tsp Cardamom

1/2 tsp Cinnamon

Pinch of salt

Maple syrup to sweeten

1 tsp Ghee


  1. Soak the millet in water overnight for a smooth creamy porridge.

  2. Drain and add milk and cook on a gentle to medium flame for 10 mins.

  3. Add the cardamom, sweetener, and salt and stir till desired texture is reached add water if you like. 

  4. Serve in a bowl and add a tsp of ghee and cinnamon or vegan option will be to add coconut oil.

  5. Sprinkle some cinnamon and delight in the taste.
