The simplicity and sattvic quality of the apples will ease vata imbalances such as low digestion and bloating, as well as bring cleansing and replenishing qualities to breakfast time.

Stewed Apples with Goji

Serves 1

1 apple 

2 tbsp goji berries 

3/4 cup of hot water

 

Cooking Instructions

 

Slice the apple into quarters and then cut out the core.  Slice in half lengthwise and then in half again to make bite-size pieces.

In a saucepan add the water, apples and goji.

Heat on a medium flame for 8 - 10 minutes or until tender.  Then serve in a bowl.
