These gorgeous cookies are healthy, light and crunchy with a bite. The combination of chocolate with turmeric is a modish combination with a cardamon latte.⁠

Turmeric Cookies

Makes 12⁠

2 .5 cup Oats⁠
1 tsp turmeric⁠
.5 - 1 tsp black pepper⁠
.5 tsp salt⁠
2 tsp baking powder⁠
1/3 cup coconut sugar⁠
1/3 cup ghee, melted⁠
1/3 cup maple syrup⁠
70g dark chocolate bar (75% or more) cut into pieces.⁠


Turn on the oven to 170 degrees. Line the baking tray with parchment paper. ⁠
Pulse the oats in the blender until they make a coarse flour.⁠
Add the oats in a bowl, then mix in the turmeric, black pepper, baking powder, salt and coconut sugar and give it all a stir together making sure the sugar has no lumps.⁠
Next up add in the maple syrup, ghee, and chocolate and stir into a firm dough with a spatular.⁠
Use a teaspoon to scoop out the dough into your hand. Make into tight dough ball and place on the baking tray about 4 cm apart from each other. Bake for 13-15 minutes.
